But come on a number of people are offering 100s for a few dollars. Being cynical could AI have generated most of them?
Think of a prompt as a series of words that you use to interact with say ChatGPT or Midjourney. The result will be directly related to the precise words you use in your prompt. Below is the same information from ChatGPT up to 2022. The difference is the wording of the prompt.

That not to say that buying prompts is not beneficial for you just buy prompts that you will use. Some well known internet product producers sell prompts as part of a system they are selling for example to produce illustrations or art work. These will often have very detailed prompts to get a required end result. For example: Lilies and sprigs of heather, detached at the fringe of the writing paper and stationery, old-style writing paper scenery, watercolor finish, detailed filigree boundary. This is only part of the prompt for use in Midjourney. In other AI graphic programs you get differing results or non.
